Materium has created a new additive for differents matrices like polymers. Our additive has an additive which once incorporated to materials such as rubber and plastic will reduce its weight by up to 50% while at the same time making it more durable and resistant to fire, heat and electricity. This additive has several benefits to your final product.
One of the key elements in our process is the functionalization of the silica microcapsule. Through the functionalization or surface coating, we can target a given family of polymers to allow a better compatibility and dispersion of the additive in the polymers matrix. For specific applications, such as textiles adhesives, etc., we can graft the molecules of your choice to our hollow microspheres.
